1 EXERCISE THAT WILL CHANGE THE WAY YOU PADDLE FOREVER

Me: Nikki, what do you dig about paddle boarding?
Nikki: Just paddling alone is enough for me, when I can get out there with friends, it’s doesn’t feel like a work out it’s just fun and exercise is just another benefit of it. For me working out on the board is about getting outdoors and reconnecting with nature getting outside getting fresh air and relieving the stress.
Me: What are the most essential skills you cover in your NRG boot camps?
Nikki: Will people in general just don’t get outside enough anymore with our busy schedules. So first, we focus on correcting the common health problems of a busy lifestyle by working on proper paddling techniques that starts correcting these imbalances. If you aren’t paddling correctly you are setting yourself up for a lot of problems in the future.
Me: So what can people do today to correct their paddling?
Nikki: It’s a super simple and effective exercise that will strengthen your core and help you activate all the big muscles from your abdominal and back.
This Exercise: Will strengthen your core and lower back, two areas of the body often recruited by your abdominals and back to support you while paddling. This is the common cure for poor posture and horrible office chairs. Get out on the water and find a spot to lay face down on your paddleboard. Then pop up onto your elbows and toes.
Hold this isometric pose static for beginners 10-15 seconds and if your feeling strong take upto multiple minutes.
