Starboard ISA World Champions!
Starboard Team Riders Sean Poynter, Izzi Gomez, and Connor Baxter all win Gold Medals at the ISA World Championships in Mexico.
The week long event in Sayuilita Mexico, hosted the Worlds most talented SUP Racing, SUP Surfing, and Prone Paddlers to compete for their National Countries. With new entrants from team Hawaii and a stronger selection of teams than ever, it was team USA that stepped up to take the overall win.
Starboard Riders confidently claimed a heroic 7 medals in total.
Mens Distance Racing: Team Hawaii’s Connor Baxter received Bronze in the distance and Zane Schweitzer followed behind to take Copper.
Women’s SUP Course: Penelope Strickland from New Zealand grabbed Bronze.
Mens SUP Technical Course: Connor Baxter (Hawaii) claimed Gold, while Titouan Puyo (France) earns Bronze.
Women’s SUP Surfing: Izzi Gomez wins Gold for team USA.
Men’s SUP Surfing: Sean Poynter wins Gold for Team USA.
