Have you ever wanted to test your endurance, stamina and true grit to see what kind of real physical shape you are in? Well, here is your chance, join us in Oleron, France June 22-23 for the 30km Stand Up Paddle Challenge. This is the longest race on the Stand Up World Series Tour and as well, one of the most scenic.
Oleron is an amazing island which is quite good for surfing and also an incredible landscape with a huge canal system right in the middle of the famous and well known oysters area of Marennes-Oléron.
Sponsored by Starboard, the Oleron Challenge, is expected to draw top riders from around the world. The Oleron Island challenge 2012 is a WORLD SERIES 4 **** sanctioned event with a $10k purse! Look for Annabel Anderson (NZ), Gaetan Sene (FR), Leonard Nika (IT) and a host of others to test their strength and will power in order to be crowned the winner of this year’s Oleron Island race.
The event will feature :
– A 30 km “Long Distance Race”.
– World Series Sprint Racing (beach races…).
– Fun Surf Event.
This is a “pro-am” event and everyone is invited to have fun and paddle close to great names and especially to discover the beautiful island.
