If you have any questions or cannot reach your distributor, please fill out the recall pump handle form and we will send a replacement: http://www.star-board-sup-archive.com/2015/recall-inflatable-pump/
We have been notified from Bravo, the official supplier of our inflatable pumps that there is a slight defect with the pressure gauge in some of the inflatable handles.
To ensure the safety of all customers, we will immediately recall all 2015 model year inflatable pump handles and replace with new. Starting the first week of August, all new handles will be available through our distribution network and Starboard directly.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Please see the press release on the Bravo Inflatable SUP Handle Recall.
Identified risk – it has been found that during the board inflation process, the gauge on the handle of the pump may ‘pop’ out of the handle while under pressure to reach 18PSI. Very similar to a champagne cork releasing under pressure.
CAUTIONARY USE – If you choose to continue to use your pump, please take caution to not directly stand over the gauge while pumping.
Please watch the Instructional video below to follow how to change your new handle and learn the correct pumping technique to minimize risk.
